Brody is an Associate at Peters Law Firm P.C. He was born and raised in an agricultural family in
Clarinda, Iowa, and now resides in Council Bluffs with his wife, Jordyn, and their two sons,
Kendol and Lawson.
Brody attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa for his undergrad, where he
graduated cum laude with a criminal justice degree. During his time there, he was accepted into
the Criminal Justice Honor Society, Lambda Phi, and worked hand-in-hand with the Innocence
Project of Iowa, a nonprofit organization that diligently works to exonerate those who have been
wrongfully convicted in our justice system. He then went on to use this knowledge in the criminal
justice system, along with his agricultural background, at Drake University Law School, where he
qualified to practice law as a Student-Attorney in Polk County, became the Editor-in-Chief of the
Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, and became a published author.
Brody joined Peters Law Firm, P.C. in August 2017, immediately following his graduation from
law school. The work ethic instilled in Brody while growing up on a farm in Clarinda combined
with his experience, knowledge, and passion in both the law and agriculture, has allowed him to
build a successful practice that stems across multiple areas of the law, including tasks like writing
someone’s will, probating an estate, and helping someone who has been seriously injured.
Whatever this issue may be, his first step is to sit down with the client and listen. Period.
“You’d be surprised how many people hire an attorney and feel like they’re not
being heard. At Peters Law Firm, you are going to be heard. You are going to sit
down face-to-face with an attorney, and you are going to get to tell your story.
Clients should not be treated like a file and certainly not like a number. They
should be treated like a person - a person who is coming to me and asking for help,
sometimes about the most sensitive and personal information one could imagine.
That’s exactly why one of the most important things to know how to do as an
attorney is simply, to listen.”
